At Profile Precision Extrusions, we look at things a bit differently than the rest of our industry. We value ourselves in taking on projects that others shy away from or deem “impossible”. We look for reasons to say YES rather than no. The reason is simple; taking on challenges allows us to learn. Things that we learn on one project can then be applied to future projects.
Early October is an exciting time for sports fans. The NFL is in full swing, the NBA and NHL training camps have started, and Major League Baseball (MLB) playoffs are exciting, for several reasons. Unfortunately for Arizona, baseball fans haven’t had many opportunities to cheer on their beloved Diamondbacks in the playoffs for the past few years. 2017 wasn’t supposed to be any different. The experts said they would miss the playoffs again. The experts were (wonderfully) wrong!
Material testing is an important component of our quality control system. Our customers expect that the parts we ship them meet not only the dimensional requirements but the physical requirements as well. Design Engineers rely on us to meet minimum mechanical properties so the parts they have developed perform as intended. If the parts don’t meet expectations, serious failures can & will occur.
Profile Precision Extrusions has the opportunity to review hundreds of aluminum extrusion and tubing designs each month. Of those, we offer pricing on around 75 of them. Most of the ones we review are too large for us to produce. For those we can’t quote, we try to refer the customer to 1-2 other extrusion companies we think might have the right equipment for the project.
