Of those, we offer pricing on around 75 of them. Most of the ones we review are too large for us to produce. For those we can\u2019t quote, we try to refer the customer to 1-2 other extrusion companies we think might have the right equipment for the project. The time it takes us to quote an <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/profileprecisionextrusions.com\/staging\/9083\/blog\/the-best-aluminum-extrusion-practices\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">aluminum extrusion<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> design is dependent upon the complexity of design and the amount of post extrusion work and details we are provided initially. Our goal for simple designs is to respond to the RFQ and complete a quote within 24 hours, and 72 hours for complex extrusions or tubing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Designs have been submitted in all kinds of formats. People have walked in the front door with an extruded <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">aluminum tube<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> or <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/profileprecisionextrusions.com\/staging\/9083\/products\/shapes\/?nav=topnav\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">shape<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> sketched out on bar napkin. Others have brought in a physical sample or 3D printed prototype. To make the process move as quickly as possible and to ensure that all of your needs are met, please consider including the following in your RFQ:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A dimensioned print of your aluminum extrusion showing:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Critical dimensions & tolerances<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aluminum alloy & temper<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cut length(s)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cosmetically important or exposed surfaces<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For you engineering types, we use Solidworks and can open a variety of file types.
